Emily Balcetis

Emily Balcetis is an associate professor of psychology at New York University. She received her PhD from Cornell University in 2006, and is the author of more than 70 scientific publications. Her work has been covered by Forbes, Newsweek, TIME, NPR, Scientific American and The Atlantic. Emily has received numerous awards for her work, including from the Federation of Associations in Behavior & Brain Sciences, the International Society for Self and Identity, the Foundation for Personality and Social Psychology and the Society for Experimental Social Psychology. She has also lectured at Harvard, Princeton, Yale and Stanford. Emily currently lives in New York City with her husband and their son.
