Scott Reed is the Chairman of Chesapeake Enterprises, a Washington, DC based consulting firm specializing in federal and state legislative, regulatory and governmental matters. Chesapeake Enterprises represents clients in energy, gaming, chemicals and financial services.
Prior to founding Chesapeake Enterprises, Mr. Reed was the Campaign Manager for Bob Dole's 1996 Presidential campaign. He oversaw the national campaign, including political strategy, policy development and communications during both the GOP primary and the general election. In 1993 Mr. Reed was appointed Exec. Director of the Republican National Committee.
During the Bush administration Mr. Reed served as Chief of Staff to Secretary Jack Kemp at the Dept. of Housing and Urban Development. Scott Reed also currently serves as the Chief Political Strategist at the US Chamber of Commerce.
