SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Vanguard will host a comprehensive emergency response exercise with the City of Scottsdale on Wednesday, October 24th. The drill is designed to assess communication and collaboration between Vanguard and local emergency response organizations.
Scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM on Vanguard’s campus in Scottsdale, the exercise is expected to be completed before noon. All activities are to take place in the campus’ Wellington building. The Scottsdale police department and first responder units, along with Vanguard crew members (the company’s term for employees), will participate in the drill.
“Vanguard has had a long history of preparing for and participating in emergency exercises, and we look forward to further testing our preparation and contingency plans with our local partners,” said Michael Curry, a principal with Vanguard’s Security and Contingency Services department.
Vanguard would like to stress that Wednesday’s exercise is strictly an exercise. If an actual emergency occurs at Vanguard, Scottsdale will notify the appropriate emergency personnel, and Vanguard will implement the necessary emergency response procedures.
