COLLEGE STATION, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Partnering with Samsung and Electronic Recyclers International (ERI), the Brazos Valley Solid Waste Management Agency, Inc.(BVSWMA, Inc.) will stage a special E-Waste Collection Event Saturday October 27th, 2012 from 7 am to 2 pm at no charge to consumers.
ERI, the largest recycler of electronic waste in the nation, will safely recycle all e-waste collected at this special event at the University Services Building (Harvey Road entrance on the left after Veteran’s Park), serving the residents of College Station and surrounding areas.
The event is designed to give the community at large an opportunity to safely unload their old computers, television sets, and other outdated, unusable or unwanted consumer electronic items for proper recycling that is safe and environmentally sound. Samsung is working with ERI to sponsor the e-waste takeback event and encourage participating residents to sign up for the ENERGY STAR Pledge.
