CHICAGO -- American Airlines has announced it is adding flights from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to Dusseldorf, Germany, and Columbia, Mo.
In a statement Wednesday, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Chicago and Dusseldorf are travel hubs that spur growth. The mayor called the new service "a win-win" for both cities.
The flights to Dusseldorf begin April 11. Daily flights will depart O'Hare at 5 p.m. and arrive in Dusseldorf International at 8:15 a.m. the following day. The return flight departs Dusseldorf at 12:10 p.m. and arrives at O'Hare are 2:20 p.m.
American is adding new domestic service between Chicago and Columbia, Mo., on Feb. 14.
