James Naughton, Veteran Tony Award Winning actor, director, philanthropist Returns to Host Moffly Media's Light a Fire Awards

GREENWICH, Conn., Oct. 25, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Moffly Media will celebrate the 5th annual Light a Fire Awards on Thursday, November 8th from 6:30-9:00 p.m. This unique event, aimed at celebrating our community's nonprofit and philanthropic leaders, will be held at Greenwich Academy's Massey Theater and will be catered by Marcia Selden Catering and Event Planning. This year's event will be sponsored by Wells Fargo Advisors, George N. Venizelos Managing Director-Investments and Abbey Tent. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Fairfield County Community Foundation.

Outstanding individuals and organizations from across lower Fairfield County will be honored during the awards presentation which will be preceded by cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Light a Fire will salute those who have gone beyond the ordinary to extraordinary in their giving back to our community. From philanthropists and volunteers to organizations helping families, girls, children and the community, the honorees are a truly unique group. Representatives from the area's nonprofit organizations, philanthropists, volunteers, corporate donors, and board members, along with local dignitaries, VIPs and government officials will all be in attendance.

Light a Fire nomination ballots appeared on the Moffly Media website this past March and April. Local residents were asked to submit nominations for noteworthy individuals and organizations. From the many submissions, 12 honorees were selected based on the contributions they have made to help those in need in Fairfield County. This year's honorees are; Outstanding Philanthropist- Brian Kriftcher, Best Friend to Children- Jack Kelley, Most Dedicated Committee Member- Karyn Ward, Most Involved Couple- Joseph and Susan Garofoli, Best Friend to Seniors- Doris McKee, Corporate Good Neighbor- Rich Granoff, Most Involved in the Arts- Ann Sheffer, Outstanding Teen Volunteer- Jenny Cespedes, Most Inspirational Role Model- Paul Green, and Lifetime Achievement- Bob and Suzanne Wright.
