SAN MARCOS, Calif., Oct. 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Omnitek Engineering Corporation (OTCBB:OMTK) today announced the company will make a presentation on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. local time at the NGV Global 2012 Exposition being held November 6 – November 10 at the Banamex Center, Pavilion A, in Mexico City.
The presentation, Diesel-to-Natural Gas Engine Conversions, Creating Demand for Natural Gas, will address the value-proposition for fleet truck operators in terms of converting diesel engines to operate on natural gas. "During the 20-year life span of diesel engines, routine overhauls are required and service budgets established in advance. By converting these diesel engines to operate on natural gas during a routine service overhaul, truck operators can realize a significant return on investment, with much lower fuel costs and cleaner combustion," said Werner Funk, president and chief executive officer of Omnitek Engineering.
Additional issues to be addressed include:
- The cost benefits of conversions versus new engine replacement
- Limited availability of new natural gas trucks and buses to meet pent-up and future demand
- The long service life of diesel engines offsets new engine replacement proposition regardless of availability
Funk will be available for media interviews either before or after his presentation. Reporters are encouraged to arrange a convenient interview time in advance by contacting the company's investor relations firm: telephone, 310-471-1288 or via email: email@example.com.
