WASHINGTON, Oct. 31, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Azerbaijan America Alliance, a non-partisan, non-profit organization providing information broadly about the culture, society, industry and history of the Azeri people, today announced that it will host a gala dinner with musical performances in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012.
WHAT: "A Night in Washington with Friends from Baku," a gala dinner celebrating the culture of Azerbaijan. Hosted by the Azerbaijan America Alliance under the honorary patronage of H.E. Ambassador Elin Suleymanov, the evening will include Azerbaijani music and dance as well as a dinner featuring a traditional Azerbaijani menu. The event will highlight the growing relationship between the United States and Azerbaijan, while celebrating the ancient and rich culture of this key ally in the South Caucasus region.
WHO: The night's festivities will feature performances by the world acclaimed Natig Rhythm Group, Eurovision star Sabina Babayeva, Mensum Ibrahimov, the National Dance Ensemble of Azerbaijan and others VIP performers. Along with the concert, the evening will include prominent speakers, and the presentation of awards and scholarships. In addition to select members of the public, the gala will be attended by government officials, academics, business leaders, think tank scholars and members of the news media.
