NJ motorists line up for gasoline

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. -- It's reminiscent of the gas shortages in the 1970s.

Motorists are lining up for miles for gasoline at a service area on the Garden State Parkway in Wall Township.

State Police Sgt. Brian Polite says the wait has been about an hour. Troopers are on hand to keep an eye on traffic.

Finding a gas station that's open has become a problem in parts of New Jersey, three days after Sandy downed power lines.

Similar scenes are playing out across the state.
