FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Gladney Center for Adoption, Lutheran Social Services Child Specific Recruiters and the Department of Family and Protective Services are excited to announce a fun-filled celebration and dinner for foster care families on November 3, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Dr. Jaiya John, author, poet, founder and Executive Director of Soul Water Rising will be the featured speaker for the evening, sharing his moving and hopeful journey from a child in foster care to his enlightened spiritual and emotional awakening.
Along with Dr. John’s message of hope and inspiration, the event also provides an opportunity for foster care parents to enjoy a relaxing evening with fun activities designed to show appreciation - such as games, chair massages, aromatherapy, personal make-overs, golf swing demonstrations and more.
Several agencies are coming together to honor foster parents, uniting their missions to show appreciation and care for the people who make such an amazing difference in the lives of children.
