LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 4, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In an effort to encourage people to take a more proactive role in their health and wellness, a Lexington chiropractor is offering free initial consultations, examinations and scoliosis screenings for all first-time patients during its Patient Appreciation Week, which runs from November 12 through the 16. According to Dr. Kevin Lynch of Lynch Chiropractic Center, "This week is very important to us because we want people to learn more about value of chiropractic care for the treatment of back pain, neck pain and other health conditions." The clinic will also offer a one-day free treatment on Saturday, November 17th to its current patients.
Dr. Lynch states that the free examination may include x-rays to get a closer look at any underlying spinal imbalances requiring chiropractic care. He will also offer lifestyle advice and best practices for avoiding neck pain, back pain and chronic illness. "We will be giving people practical advice on how to take charge of their health," he says.
Dr. Lynch points to the scoliosis screening as another invaluable service saying, "We are performing these screenings free of charge during our Patient Appreciation Week because early detection is important." Scoliosis, a progressive condition in which the spinal column takes on an atypical S-curve or C-curve, can cause an unbalanced posture and gait, pain and stiffness or breathing trouble. "The earlier we detect scoliosis, the more effectively we can treat it," says the Lexington chiropractor, explaining that non-invasive techniques such as spinal adjustments, physical therapy or an orthopedic back brace can slow or arrest the curvature.
First-time chiropractic care patients will not be the only ones benefitting from the clinic's efforts. While Patient Appreciation Week technically ends on Friday, November 16th, the clinic will also offer a free treatment to current patients on Saturday, November 17th. The one-day offer will extend from 8am until 12pm on that day, and patients must schedule an appointment in advance. "We're offering this to thank our current clientele for their loyalty and to encourage them to keep getting the care they need," states Dr. Lynch.
The initial consultation, x-rays and evaluations are offered in conjunction with a gift certificate that covers the cost of the procedures, a $235 value. The offer comes with limitations -- the value of the offer may not be applied to an existing balance, a personal injury case or a workers compensation claim. The gift certificate's disclaimer states: You have the right to rescind within 72 hours any obligation to pay for services performed in addition to this free or discount service. Medicare and Medicaid regulations apply.
In addition to evaluations and screenings, Lynch Chiropractic Center offers massage therapy, physical therapy, stress relief treatments and spinal adjustments for sports injuries, personal injuries and chronic neck pain and back pain.
