Relationship addresses consumer need for more accurate, detailed product information online and on smartphones
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. & LISLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- 1WorldSync, the industry leader in global product data management and data pool solutions, and Gladson, the leader in creating e-content and syndicated product databases for the CPG industry, today announced they have entered into a relationship that will make it quick and easy for brand owners to deliver Gladson’s high-quality e-content to consumers via 1WorldSync’s Product Data Management Platform.
For over a decade, Gladson has been supporting leading websites and mobile apps with images and full label information - including nutritional information, ingredients and allergens - through a trusted database of consumer products from hundreds of manufacturers. The relationship between Gladson and 1WorldSync will leverage 1WorldSync’s Product Data Management Platform to increase the number of websites and mobile apps supported by Gladson e-content so consumers will be able to obtain the accurate and up-to-date product information they are seeking.
A recent Forrester study concluded that 44% of total retail sales will be impacted by the web in 2016. Thus, it is clear that consumers need a trusted source of product data to make their purchasing decisions. 1WorldSync and Gladson are working together to develop innovative solutions to ensure trusted product information is accessible by consumers through the Internet, smartphones and other delivery channels.
“1WorldSync is the industry leader in product data management solutions, and we are pleased to work with them to make comprehensive, high-quality product content accessible to consumers through the 1WorldSync network,” said Gladson President and CEO Sue Sentell. “We currently provide product images and e-content to hundreds of consumer websites and mobile app developers. Working with 1WorldSync will help our brand-owner clients rapidly expand their reach.”
“We are excited to work with Gladson because of the breadth, depth and accuracy of its database and its 30 years of industry leadership in providing trusted information,” said Timothy Fives, 1WorldSync director of product strategy and partnerships. “Consumers expect online product information to be accurate and up-to-date, and this relationship ensures that we meet that expectation.”
Gladson and 1WorldSync will be addressing the details and benefits of this agreement in a joint presentation at the LEAD Marketing Conference, which will be held in Rosemont, IL, Oct. 1-3, 2012.
