Top journalist joins the leadership of growing public affairs practice in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Bill McQuillen, recognized as a top international economics, trade and labor journalist, has joined JDA Frontline as a Vice President of Public Affairs where he will play a prominent role leading the firm’s Washington, D.C., office and its growing portfolio of clients.
JDA Frontline is a public affairs firm with offices in Charleston, S.C., and Washington, D.C., which specializes in designing and executing strategic communications, advertising and digital campaigns for business, non-profit and political organizations.
McQuillen most recently served as Bloomberg’s senior trade and labor reporter covering international commerce, free trade agreements, the World Trade Organization, economic development, global market competition as well as unions and the National Labor Relations Board. Prior to covering trade and labor, he covered the U.S. Department of Justice, international economics and foreign and domestic policy during President George W. Bush’s second term. During the 2004 presidential elections, he traveled with both candidates, President Bush and U.S. Sen. John Kerry, as Bloomberg’s wire service pool reporter.

In 2011, he served as an associate producer for “Diabetesville USA,” a documentary film focusing on abnormally high diabetes rates in Cameron County, Texas.
Since 2007, Bill has served as an advisor to the student newspaper at his alma mater, the Catholic University of America, and is an active volunteer in the greater D.C., area, regularly contributing his time to D.C. Central Kitchen and Capital Area Food Bank.
McQuillen also holds a Masters of Studies in Law from Georgetown University Law Center.
