Company donates resources and more than 500 man-hours to help Cleveland Furniture Bank
MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Acumen Solutions, the trusted leader in Enterprise Cloud Transformation, today announced the completion of Cleveland Furniture Bank’s (CFB) newly re-designed website and online donation system. Acumen Solutions donated more than 500 man-hours and numerous resources to design, build and launch the CFB’s new website which will help support the charity’s future growth and new programs.
The primary mission of the Cleveland Furniture Bank is to restore hope to Northeast Ohio residents in need by providing basic home furnishings to make a house a home. Since its inception, the CFB has grown to serve more than 3,000 families in the Northeast Ohio region per year through a wide range of participating agencies. The newly re-designed website, which went live in early September, highlights CFB’s thrift store and also features an online donation scheduling feature. The first day the new site went live, CFB scheduled its first online donation pick-up.
“Without the support and generosity of companies like Acumen Solutions, we would not be able to fulfill our mission and help Northeast Ohio families in need,” explained Tom Gaghan, executive director, Cleveland Furniture Bank. “Our original website served an important purpose when the Cleveland Furniture Bank was created, helping to build our base of agencies that represent the men, women, and children that we serve. This new website will help support our growth and the new programs that we would like to implement.”
“After touring CFB’s facility and meeting with the Director to learn more about the organization’s growth and plans, our team was very excited and ready to donate their time and knowledge to help such a worthy cause,” explained Mary Beth Kush, senior director of the Cleveland Technology Center, Acumen Solutions. “Our primary goal in the website redesign was to make it easy for CFB’s non-technical employees to update content and to enable an online scheduling application for donation pick-up.”
Acumen Solutions has been a local supporter of the Cleveland Furniture Bank for over a year and will continue to support CFB in a board leadership capacity. Acumen Solutions’ work with the Cleveland Furniture Bank is just one of many nonprofit projects in which the company participates. Another notable initiative is the Acumen Solutions Race for a Cause™ which allows race participants to select the non-profit organization that they wish to support.
