Agenda Includes Industry Forums and General Sessions on the Future of Mobile and Social Media, Regulatory Compliance, and Emerging Payments Players
BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- NEACH, the New England Automated Clearing House Association, today announced the agenda and speakers for Payment Insights 2012, to be held October 29th and 30th at the Marriott Hotel in Burlington, Mass. This annual event will bring together leaders in the field of payments management for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding and evolving field.
This conference is a meeting of professionals who are shaping their institutions’ payments products and services through innovation, strategy, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
"This year's conference is particularly important," said Conference Chair Breffni McGuire, senior director of payments strategy at NEACH. “The payments landscape is undergoing profound change. As advances in technology, changes in regulation, and risk and fraud impact the industry, payments professionals must be ready to leverage or to combat these external influences. Payment Insights 2012 offers solutions for the current environment and provides guidance for the future.”
This conference’s keynote sessions tackle three key areas of change and complexity affecting the payments industry: new “enabling” technologies, regulation, and competition. Delivering the keynote addresses will be industry thought leaders Marianne Crowe, Vice President, Payment Strategies, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston; Steve Mott, principal of BetterBuyDesign; Dennis Moroney, Research Directory, CEB TowerGroup; and James Van Dyke, President and Founder of Javelin Strategy & Research.
Conference sessions explore these themes more through eight, in-depth concurrent sessions and two industry forums. Led by industry experts, the conference program draws on topics that include new frontiers in ACH; healthcare payments; person-to-person payments; and depository check truncation to sessions that explore regulatory guidance for mobile payments; the interplay between innovation and regulation; security and risk management; and credit underwriting.
“We have an all-star keynote lineup in Jim, Steve, and Dennis with their broad, unbiased payments knowledge and Marianne with her leadership of the Fed’s payment strategies team in Boston,” stated Linda O’Hara, NEACH CEO. “Our speakers are some of the most respected names in payments.”
