RedPrairie Proves Enterprise Scalability and Performance with SQL Server 2012 Benchmarks

Tests show up to 25 percent improvement in throughput execution and lower database utilization with SQL Server 2012 powering RedPrairie solutions

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- RedPrairie Corporation, a global supply chain and retail technology provider, announced significant performance improvements of RedPrairie solutions running on Microsoft SQL Server 2012, following recent benchmark testing. As a Microsoft Global Industry independent software vendor (ISV) and SQL Server 2012 Global Partner, RedPrairie confirmed that Microsoft’s next generation, cloud-ready platform delivered the higher levels of performance, scalability and reliability required to support the mission-critical requirements of the world’s largest retail and supply chain companies.

RedPrairie worked with Microsoft engineers to test its solutions on SQL Server 2012 in advance of the platform’s global launch. The team designed separate benchmark tests for RedPrairie Commerce Suite, a channel-agnostic solution that enables retailers to consistently present their brands and establish touch points with consumers from intention through to transaction and beyond, and for RedPrairie Workforce Management, a single, integrated suite of applications that drive workforce productivity and effectiveness across the enterprise. Emulating real-world, enterprise-class workloads running on industry-standard hardware in a lab setting, the team reported 21 to 25 percent improvements in throughput execution across a range of tests and lower database utilization with SQL Server 2012 over SQL Server 2008 R2.
