NEW BERLIN, Wis., Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- United Heartland announces the appointment of Rick Hobbs as vice president of Claims and Managed Care.
Hobbs joined United Heartland's executive team today and is responsible for creating, implementing, and monitoring the strategic direction and executing operational plans for continual improvement to the United Heartland Claims department. His main focus will be on field claims and supporting United Heartland policyholders and agents.

Hobbs has 25 years of commercial casualty insurance experience in claims, underwriting and loss control with Wausau Insurance and Liberty Mutual Insurance Companies, serving 20 of those years in claims leadership roles.
Hobbs graduated from University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, concentration in management. Additionally, he earned the following insurance industry designations: Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); Associate in Claims (AIC) and Associate in Management (AIM).
