Humana app wins prestigious award for 2nd consecutive year
LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Humana Inc.’s (NYSE: HUM) leadership and innovation in the mobile technology space has been recognized again. Consumers voted MyHumana Mobile App the winner of the People’s Choice Stevie® Awards for Favorite New Products, in the Favorite Smart Phone or Tablet App category, in the 2012 American Business Awards competition.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. For the People’s Choice awards, the general public vote for their favorite new products and services of the year. More than 98,000 votes were cast in 30 product categories in this year’s vote.

The MyHumana app is an increasingly popular resource for Humana members on-the-go. During the past 12 months, app downloads and mobile visitors have both nearly tripled.
The MyHumana app’s growing use has led to additional recognition:
- In an independent study just released by MyPrivateBanking Research, Humana was evaluated against 30 international health plans and ranked #1 for its app strategy.
- The app also won a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Utilities/Services category of the American Business Awards. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 270 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year.
