WAYNE, Pa., Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The week started with relatively little news though there were a couple of promotions from some programs.

Delta Airlines has a promotion for folks who fly from China to the US, Canada or Japan. Those who fly between October 15, 2012 and January 15, 2013 can earn 100% bonus miles for business class tickets and 50% bonus miles for coach tickets.

Starwood just launched their "better tomorrow" promotion whereby if you stay for a night at their hotels, you will get 40% off for the next night. This offer is valid until the end of the year.

Auctions for the December Radio City Show in New York are now on the Chase Ultimate Rewards site. Chase cardholders who are interested in using reward points to get to the show can now participate in the auction with their Ultimate Reward points.

Citicard has announced their 4th quarter rotating categories for 2012. Card members will earn 5% cash back when shopping at Macy's, Electronic Store and Toys Store. Discover's 5% rotating category for the 4th quarter has also just commenced. Card members will be able to earn 5% cash back on all department store and online shopping spending.

Hilton HHonors is having a promotion whereby members who stay at their hotels from 26th September to 31st December 2012 can accumulate bonus Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Miles. For the first stay, you can get 1,000 bonus Virgin Flying Club points. Each stay increases the bonus by 1,000 miles until the 5th stay. For the 6th stay onwards, you earn standard rate. Members can earn up to a maximum of 15,000 bonus Flying Club miles during this promotion.

On the interest rate front, there were no material changes in interest rates across most credit card categories. There were no material changes in sign up bonuses or balance transfer deal.
