NEWTON, Mass., Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kathy Bliss, MSN, RN, CHPCA, has assumed the position of President of the Hospice & Palliative Federation of Massachusetts. Bliss has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Hospice & Palliative Care Federation of Massachusetts since 2008, serving on the Ethics Committee and the Nominating Committee. Bliss assumed the role of Clerk in June 2010.

Bliss currently serves as the Executive Director of Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, since its opening in the Boston area in 2007. Prior to joining Seasons Hospice, Bliss has enjoyed an extensive healthcare career in Massachusetts.
"The biggest challenge of my hospice career has been the whole adventure of starting the [Seasons Hospice] Massachusetts program from zero to an average daily census nearing 200 today," Bliss recalls.
Bliss has additional leadership experience in the healthcare community, most recently serving as Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer at Hospice of the North Shore in Danvers, MA from 2003 to 2007.
