Panel discussion with leading executives from IBM, Cisco, DynamicOps and ServiceMesh to address cloud operations management and private cloud strategies
BURLINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- VMTurbo, the leading provider of intelligent workload management software for cloud and virtualized environments, today announced that its chief executive officer, Lou Shipley, has been invited to speak at Interop New York, which is being held October 1-5, 2012 at the Javits Center. The panel, “Best Practices: The Road from Server Virtualization/Consolidation to Private Cloud” will take place on Friday, October 5 at 10:15 – 11:15 am in Room 1E15. Along with Shipley, presenters will include executives from IBM, Cisco, DynamicOps and Service Mesh.
The panel will address why moving beyond server virtualization and migrating to a private cloud is vital for enterprises, despite being a difficult feat to accomplish. In order to successfully make the transition, enterprises must confront an assortment of management issues including, automating virtual operations and provisioning, managing performance and capacity, troubleshooting across the virtual and physical infrastructure, lifecycle management, and managing across multiple hypervisors. Offering real-world experiences, the panel will explore the best practices for moving to private cloud environments.
“As companies adopt cloud models for their virtualized infrastructure they require a new approach to successfully operate, control, and optimize performance and utilization within those environments,” said Shipley. “I am thrilled to be part of such an accomplished panel, and to have the opportunity to share our insights in solving the complex challenges that companies are facing as they move beyond consolidation and embrace cloud architectures.”
