DanaInfra Nasional Bhd is finalising plans to issue a 1.5 billion ringgit ($490.6 million) sukuk tranche by mid-November to finance the Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) mass rapid transit (MRT) line, with one portion to be marketed as retail bond as raised in the federal budget for 2013 announced last week.
The issuance, part of the 8 bln ringgit Islamic commercial papers/Islamic medium-term notes (ICP/IMTN) programme signed in early July, will see one fifth of the value, or 300 mln ringgit, being floated as a retail bond, said an official involved in the issuance.
