BELLPORT, N.Y. -- Perfumania Holdings Inc. said Thursday that revenue in stores open at least a year fell 3.9 percent in September.
That's a key measure for retailers because it excludes results from stores that opened or closed within the last year, which can skew business trends.
So far this year, revenue at stores open at least a year has dropped 0.5 percent.
Total revenue fell 2 percent to $22.3 million last month. In the year through September, revenue is nearly unchanged at $162.6 million.
Perfumania has 344 perfume stores in the U.S.
