OKLAHOMA CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Strategic Medical Partners (SMP), an Oklahoma City-based medical management firm, today announced the addition of Senior Partner of Strategic Practice Planning James J. Eischen, Jr., to the company’s executive leadership team.
Eischen, also a practicing attorney in California, has an international reputation for his expertise in designing and implementing private/direct medicine practice models. His California law practice also involves representing electronic health records and medical device manufacturing/marketing companies. Eischen will work with SMP in a non-legal capacity as a consultant supporting the company’s mission to improve U.S. healthcare models.
“Jim’s prior legal experience, business acumen, and world-wide physician relationships make him an ideal fit with SMP,” said Shaun Riney, SMP CEO/president. “Jim is one of those rare individuals who tapped into a new and unique niche designing innovative models for physicians eager to move into private practice to better serve their patients. His experience with medical legal compliance, direct/private medicine startups and third-party payer compliance issues dovetails seamlessly with our mission here at SMP to partner with physicians to provide a full executive management team.”
“SMP is emerging as a real player in the private physician industry by providing physicians a new way to look at the management of their practice to enhance their relationship with their patients, to navigate a complex regulatory environment, and offer solutions to streamline efficiencies in the doctor’s practice,” noted Eischen. “Though the medical world has shifted dramatically in the past several decades the physician’s vision remains the same: bring the best care possible to their patients and build long-lasting relationships that are satisfying and productive. My passion, and that of SMP, is to help physicians realize that vision, and to take advantage of massive national interest in health care reform to design and implement effective care models and solutions.”
Eischen is an authority in medical law and a frequent speaker at the American Association of Private Physicians (AAPP). Eischen is also a frequent contributing writer for AAPP’s monthly newsletter regarding U.S. healthcare issues.
