NEW YORK -- Christie's will inaugurate its long-term partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation to sell its collection with a daylong sale next month.
The Nov. 12 auction will feature 350 Warhol photographs, paintings, works on paper and prints. It includes a Polacolor print of Liza Minelli estimated to sell for $15,000-$20,000. There's also a screenprint of Vladimir Lenin with a pre-sale estimate of $40,000-$60,000.
The sale will raise money for the foundation's endowment.
Under the partnership, Christie's will hold a series of sales over the coming years, including auctions, private sales and online events.
Sotheby's, meanwhile, will offer Warhol works on Nov. 1-2.
Featured are 10 complete sets of some of Warhol's most iconic images. They include Marilyn Monroe, Mao, Flowers, Endangered Species, Myths and Electric Chairs.
