WHAT/WHEN: The 2012 Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE takes place October 11 – 14 at various locations throughout New York City. To date the Festival has raised over $5 million to help fight hunger with the Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry® campaign.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary October 11 – 14, 2012, the Festival encourages everyone to come out and help "Eat. Drink. End Hunger" with them to benefit the Food Bank For New York City and Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry® campaign. This year the Festival is on track to make $6.5 million, with 100% of the net proceeds benefiting these two hunger-relief organizations.
Known for attracting wine, spirits and culinary fans from across America, the Festival is comprised of more than 140 events taking place at various locations throughout New York City. Select events still have tickets available, including:

One of the highlights taking place on Saturday, October 13 at Basketball City (Pier 36) is open to foodies of all ages – Fun and Fit in the City presented by Target hosted by Guy Fieri will feature healthy food samplings, star-studded culinary demonstrations, physical fitness activities, and more! Throughout the day, culinary personalities Sunny Anderson, Melissa d'Arabian, Giada De Laurentiis, Rachael Ray, and Andrew Zimmern will take the culinary demo stage to share their favorite healthy dishes with families. Additionally, the next generation of culinary talent – including Reed Alexander and Jack Witherspoon – will interact with fans during their book signings.
Tickets to the Festival's signature event at Pier 57 are also still available for either Saturday, October 13 or Sunday, October 14 - the Grand Tasting presented by ShopRite with KitchenAid Culinary Demonstrations presented by MasterCard, including a special KitchenAid Tent Talk with Ina Garten moderated by Maile Carpenter, is certainly the ultimate foodie's dream come true.
