DENVER, Oct. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Global real estate franchisor RE/MAX is the highest ranking real estate organization in the 2012 Franchise Times Top 200. The survey is based on worldwide sales and RE/MAX has held the top position for four years in a row.
In the 12th annual Top 200 survey published in the October edition of Franchise Times magazine, RE/MAX ranked 16th among all franchises. Some of the top ranked franchises identified in the Top 200 survey include McDonald's, 7-11, Hertz, and Hyatt Hotels.

Franchise sales in Brazil are 229% higher than 2011 and in Southern Africa sales are up 77%. In the United States, the Central and Northern Ohio region led the way with franchise sales up 8%.
