RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- FUTURECOM -- Ruckus Wireless announced today that Futurecom, one of the largest telecommunications and IT events in Latin America, will have an advanced Wi-Fi network with Ruckus Wireless solutions.
The Wi-Fi network infrastructure at Rio Centro Convention Center, where the event takes place October 8 – 11, is highly advanced in the Brazilian segment of tradeshows and congresses and is designed to ensure concurrent, continuous connectivity to almost 15,000 conference attendees. Additionally, the Ruckus-powered Wi-Fi network will be a critical backbone for exhibitors, speakers and moderators from several discussion panels that will occur during the event.
In its Wi-Fi network infrastructure, Rio Centro Convention Center will have 35 ZoneFlex 802.11n dual-band indoor 7962 access points (APs) and 40 ZoneFlex 7363 APs, which will be managed by ZoneDirector 3050 and ZoneDirector 3025 centralized controllers. Link Solution, which handles telecommunications operations in the largest convention centers in the country and a Ruckus partner, is responsible for the management of the network in Brazil.
"We have managed the largest wireless networks in Brazil since 2004, and feel confident in saying that there are no better Wi-Fi solutions than Ruckus technology," said Andre Botelho, Commercial Director for Link Solution.
Currently Ruckus Wireless solutions are deployed in several important companies in Brazil in sectors such as events, hospitality, and education, providing reliable, high-performance and secure Wi-Fi access.
"To work behind the scenes of an event such as Futurecom, ensuring concurrent Internet access to a large number of users, is without a doubt a great responsibility. Moreover, the quality of Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi systems available at Rio Centro will guarantee user satisfaction and the event's success," said Andre Queiroz, Regional Director – Enterprise, Ruckus Wireless.
