China shares bounce on hopes for market reform, easing

Oct 9 (Reuters) - China shares posted robust gains on Tuesday, with banks, brokers and large-cap energy shares rallying as investors returned to the market amid hopes of more steps to support the market.

The CSI300 index of top Shanghai and Shenzhen listings ended the day up 2.2 percent while the Shanghai Composite rose 2 percent.
