SEEBURGER Names David Guzman to Chair Customer Advisory Board

Visionary CIO of H. D. Smith to Lead Strategic Discussions for Expanding Business Integration Platform

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global business integration software provider SEEBURGER today announced the appointment of David Guzman, chief information officer of pharmaceutical wholesaler H. D. Smith, to chair its new Customer Advisory Board (CAB). With nearly 30 years of IT management at Fortune 500 companies as well as other customer advisory board experience, Guzman will be responsible for guiding discussions designed to identify unmet business integration needs, suggest future enhancements to the SEEBURGER platform, and further streamline business processes for organizations around the globe by broadening the use of business integration technology.

Under Guzman’s leadership, the CAB will focus on creating a road map for the next generation of the SEEBURGER Business Integration Suite (BIS), which has been used by thousands of companies for trading partner communications for more than two decades and which is now the market’s first consolidated platform for managing and tracking B2B/EDI transaction messages and managed file transfer (MFT) activities. The board will also address potential upgrades and additions to SEEBURGER SAP Solution Extensions, which currently include SAP add-ons that fully integrate order-to-cash and supply chain monitoring processes into the SAP environment.

Guzman’s previous CIO-level experience includes positions at technology, healthcare and retail giants including Axciom, Owens & Minor and Office Depot. At Owens & Minor, he oversaw the development of revenue-generating platforms and services for hospital customers that helped grow the company to an $8 billion healthcare distribution business with two #1 rankings on the InfomationWeek 500 roster.
