Cummins Allison Introduces New JetScan iFX i200 and Deposit Balancing Manager Check-Processing Solutions

MT. PROSPECT, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cummins Allison, the leading innovator and provider of check, currency and coin handling solutions, today announced new JetScan iFX® check-processing solutions.

New to the JetScan iFX portfolio is the JetScan iFX i200 two-pocket unit with check-processing functionality. The JetScan iFX i200 now can process checks and deposit related documents at 400 items per minute, all on the same machine that financial institutions already use to process currency at 1,200 notes per minute. The JetScan iFX i200 is the only single device that processes both media, plus it’s the fastest desktop check processor and currency processor with 200% faster check processing and 20% faster currency processing. Two fully-functional pockets allow financial institutions and armored carriers to process checks and cash without stopping for rejects or full pockets. This makes processing faster and easier, saving time and money.

Interfacing with the JetScan iFX i200 is Cummins Allison’s Deposit Balancing Manager (DBM), a deposit preparation application that uses the industry’s leading CAR/LAR engine for precise check processing. Entire deposits, including checks, cash and coin, can be totaled in minutes where previously it would take hours. Depositors then can send their check deposits electronically to their financial institution via an image cash letter (ICL). This gives them faster credit on their check deposits, extends deposit deadlines, and saves on deposit fees. This solution is ideal for traditional RDC-resistant customers.

“We are excited to introduce our check-processing capability on our JetScan iFX i200 two-pocket device,” says Tony Susai, vice president of software engineering, “and our DBM application creates a system that will save depositors significant amounts of time and money. Plus, connecting to a financial institution’s system means financial institutions can process checks and cash right at the teller line or at the back counter like never before.”

The JetScan iFX i200 is part of the JetScan iFX series, which is the only device family that can process both checks and currency on the same machine. Processing multiple media on one device presents numerous benefits to any organization, including saving costs by purchasing and maintaining only one machine, and it saves precious counter space. The single device also simplifies training by employees learning only one piece of equipment.
