The 2012 Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA)® Industry Forum connects and educates consumer technology professionals, analysts and media on industry trends, emerging technologies, technical standards and legislation affecting the CE industry.
The 2012 CEA Industry Forum is scheduled for October 14-17 at The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, California.
Industry Forum highlights include:
-- Five Technologies to Watch: Industry experts and CEA analysts provide a glimpse into the five technology trends to watch in the coming years at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 15.
-- Keynote: John Gerzema, Executive Chairman, Brand Asset Consulting, will speak about how the post-crisis values revolution is changing the way we buy, sell and live at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 15.
-- (NEW) Keynote Luncheon: Peter Sheahan, Founder and CEO, ChangeLabs, will introduce creative strategies for turning challenge into opportunity and change into competitive advantage noon on Oct. 15.
-- Keynote: Dean Kamen, founder, DEKA Research & Development, founder, FIRST, will speak on Oct. 15 from 3-4 p.m.
-- 2012 Holiday Sales and Forecast: CEA’s Annual CE Holiday Purchase Patterns study will be unveiled at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 16.
-- (NEW) Keynote Luncheon and CEA Annual Member Meeting: Alexis Ohanian, Co-Founder, Reddit, will discuss how web startups will save the world at noon on Oct. 16.
-- Health and Fitness Tech- Innovation, Implementation and Regulation: A panel discussion on identifying the customer for these products and the impact FDA regulation may have on this new industry at 2 p.m. on Oct. 16.
-- The CE Hall of Fame Dinner: Open to press, this dinner takes place on Tuesday evening, Oct. 16, from 7-10 p.m. New inductees will be honored for their historic contributions to the consumer electronics industry.
-- Keynote Luncheon Peter Leyden: CEO of Next Agenda, will speak on megatrends and new technologies from noon-2 p.m. on Oct. 17.
