Europe Factors to Watch-Shares set to fall on earnings worries

PARIS, Oct 10 (Reuters) - European stocks are set to fall on Wednesday, losing ground for the third straight session on mounting worries over corporate results as the earnings season gets under way.

Financial spreadbetters expect Britain's FTSE 100

to open 24 to 25 points lower, or down 0.4 percent, Germany's DAX to open 26 points lower, or down 0.4 percent, and France's CAC-40 to open 17 to 18 points lower, or down 0.5 percent.

Asian shares dropped on Wednesday, with Japan's Nikkei average

down

1.9 percent to a two-month low, hurt by fears sluggish global growth will be reflected in corporate earnings.
