Aquilent Increases Availability of Amazon Web Services Across Federal Contract Vehicles

Government Now Has Additional Flexibility for Cloud Deployments

LAUREL, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aquilent, the leader in Federal cloud computing strategy and implementation, today announced that it has expanded its offerings of Amazon Web Services (AWS). This move makes the AWS GovCloud (US) Region, AWS US East (N. Virginia), AWS US West (N. California) and AWS US West (Oregon) Regions available on leading contract vehicles, CIO-SP3 and Navy SeaPort-e. It also augments Aquilent’s AWS GovCloud (US) Region offering on GSA Information Technology Schedule-70 (IT-70) with the addition of US East (N. Virginia), US West (N. California) and US West (Oregon). These expansions provide even more affordable and quicker access to premiere cloud services, backed by Aquilent’s highly strategic and consultative approach to technology strategy and infrastructure.

The addition of AWS to CIO-SP3 provides government agencies easy access to the cloud through a 10-year multiple award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) Government Wide Area Contract (GWAC) with a $20 billion contract ceiling. CIO-SP3 provides solutions for everything IT in support of the Federal Enterprise Architecture, the Department of Defense Enterprise Architecture and the Federal Health Architecture.

The addition of AWS to Navy SeaPort-e provides Navy-wide access to the AWS platform on this Multiple Award Contract (MAC) vehicle with a contract ceiling of $50 Billion. The SeaPort-e vehicle supports the Navy Systems Commands (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP), the Office of Naval Research, the United States Marine Corps, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA).

Finally, Aquilent’s expansion into the AWS US East (N. Virginia), US West (N. California) and US West (Oregon) Regions, available through CIO-SP3, Navy SeaPort-e, and GSA IT-70 contract vehicles, gives Aquilent customers a broad range of complementary features, in addition to the robust set of services already available in AWS GovCloud (US).

The combination of Aquilent, AWS, and these leading government contract vehicles helps reduce security concerns, simplifies procurement, and eases implementation, thereby removing the barriers encumbering the Federal Government’s move to the cloud.

Aquilent's proven approach to achieving the government’s “Cloud First” philosophy combines technology strategy and managed services creating a roadmap for long term success. Aquilent, an AWS “Authorized Government Partner” and “Advanced Consulting Partner,” also works with its customers to ensure full visibility into cloud assets, and provides an affordable, scalable delivery strategy that meets strict federal budget requirements.

“Aquilent is committed to helping the government remove the barriers preventing them from realizing the full benefits of the cloud,” stated Aquilent CEO, David Fout. “We will continue to facilitate ways to quickly and conveniently provide a comprehensive set of cloud services and provide a variety of procurement options such as the GSA IT-70 Schedule and now CIO-SP3 and SeaPort-e.”
