DALLAS, Oct. 10, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- More than 100 communications and marketing professionals will convene at the 2012 Communications Summit on Oct. 26, 2012, hosted by the Dallas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. This year's theme, "Collaborative Connections," drives the content for a full day of keynotes and breakout sessions centered on the importance of building and maintaining relationships—with the media, with clients or even among coworkers.

The Summit will feature a lunch keynote from Scott Stratten, author of The Book of Business Awesome and The Business Book of UnAwesome. In a presentation sponsored by NASDAQ OMX, Stratten will detail how public relations operates in real-time and how to see the window of opportunity to be "awesome" for communications professionals.

The breakfast keynote, sponsored by Dean Foods, will feature Crayton Webb, director of corporate communications and corporate social responsibility at Mary Kay, Inc. In addition, this year's conference will feature numerous other dynamic presentations, ranging from panel discussions on crisis management in the digital age to media integration with celebrities to roundtables with local media representatives. Attendees will also have a chance to win an iPad by participating in a social media giveaway during the event, courtesy of Time Warner Cable.
