PHT is the leading provider of systems used to collect Patient-Driven eData for clinical research.

MassTLC is the region’s leading technology association and the premier network for technology executives, entrepreneurs, investors and policy leaders. A committee of over 40 industry executives, thought leaders and media chose Ms. Rocchio as this year’s winner.

Tom Hopcroft, President and CEO of the MassTLC, said, “Sheila Rocchio exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit that makes the New England region a global innovator in technologies that improve the way companies do business.”

PHT President and CEO Philip Lee said, “Since Sheila joined PHT in 2000, her commitment to helping PHT achieve its mission of helping researchers collect accurate, timely and meaningful patient and clinician outcomes has never waned. She’s also a constant advocate for end-users, by ensuring PHT products deliver a simple, intuitive user experience. I join the MassTLC and Sheila’s colleagues in congratulating her on this well-deserved honor.”

“I greatly appreciate this recognition from the Mass TLC”, said Ms. Rocchio, “And I’d like to share this award with my colleagues at PHT and our customers, who work every day to innovate new ways for clinical researchers to do good science and bring new therapies to market that improve lives.” Watch this short video of Ms. Rocchio on better drug development for improved quality of life: http://www.bit.ly/SPxGsI

PHT’s industry recognition this year includes placement on the Inc. 500/5000, as well as the Boston Business Journal’s Pacesetters list of the fastest growing companies in New England. Under the leadership of Mr. Lee and Ms. Rocchio, PHT has commercialized technologies that automate the collection of outcomes from participants in clinical research. Their recent innovations include the first smartphone app and web browser-based ePRO systems for collecting patient data.
