CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns positive as materials climb

TORONTO, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index was little changed in early trade on Wednesday, turning positive after U.S. earnings season kicked off with mixed signals and as stronger materials shares offset weak financials.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index

was up 0.83 of a point to 12,274.40.
