Wounded Warriors Help Maintech Staff Call Centers

CRANFORD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Maintech, a leading IT Infrastructure Support Services provider and business unit of Volt Information Sciences, has a new valuable resource in the men and women of The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). The WWP is a nonprofit organization with a mission "to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history." Their efforts support wounded service men and women to transition into productive and well-adjusted lives as private citizens. Once identified and recruited through Wounded Warrior regiments at local military installations, these men and women have been able to fill important roles within Maintech’s help desk services.

Call centers often face “spikes” of activity, which can create problems with handling call volume. Rather than dispatching support to Maintech’s on site staff, Command and Control Center (CCC) or Network Operations Center (NOC), the “Warriors” are able to provide their virtual resources and handle these situations in real time. In essence, these Maintech employees are available as 24x7x365 redundant support and cloud based support services. Each technician is trained remotely via CBT and, where practical, on site. After training, the “Warriors” can work remotely from the comfort of their homes. They have access to the same tools used in primary service centers or on premises and are managed effectively through monitoring IP telephony, proprietary systems and standard enterprise solutions.

In addition to providing skilled technical support, these men and women offer customers an unsurpassed work ethic, accelerated learning curve and ability to perform under pressure – providing Maintech with a workforce that is unmatched. Working with the WWP effectively addresses several business challenges in IT service, but more importantly it allows Maintech to demonstrate its gratitude to the men and women who have selflessly sacrificed for our country. Maintech is proud of its role in providing the next steps to civilian life for these men and women.

Maintech’s parent company, Volt Information Sciences, is a proud supporter of The Wounded Warrior Project. For more information on Volt’s Military involvement, please visit www.voltmilitary.com
