SeaWell Networks Appoints Two Senior Executives; Strengthens Management Team

Jeff Huppertz Named Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development; Duncan Potter Named Chief Marketing Officer

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SeaWell Networks Inc., the leader in IP video delivery and ad-insertion solutions for network operators, today announced it has appointed two senior industry veterans further strengthening its management team as the company continues to gain market traction with its flagship Spectrum™ adaptive bitrate (ABR) management solution.

Jeff Huppertz has joined in the role of Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development, and reports directly to CEO Brian Collie. In this position, he is responsible for advancing strategic partnerships, cultivating key customer relationships, and creating strategies that expand SeaWell’s solutions in new verticals and applications. Previously, Huppertz was general partner at JRP Partners, LLC.

Duncan Potter joins SeaWell Networks as its Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, Potter is responsible for the company’s marketing and product management. He also reports directly to CEO Brian Collie. Previously Potter served as CMO for Edgeware AB.

Huppertz was previously CEO of RL Drake, LLC and held a number of leadership positions at Motorola as well as Cisco’s Scientific-Atlanta division. He was also vice president and general manager of Tellabs MSO Business Unit. While at Motorola, Huppertz developed and led the team in the successful $17B acquisition of General Instrument.

With more than 25 years of experience in the cable and telecommunications industry, Huppertz holds a degree in software engineering from University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business administration from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a long-time member of leading industry groups such as SCTE, and currently serves as a member of CTAM’s Advisory Group. Huppertz was recently named a Cable TV Pioneer, one of the industry’s highest honors.

Potter has over 25 years of experience in the video and network industry specializing in building effective communications with customers, partners and sales organizations both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining, Potter spent two and a half years as CMO at Edgeware AB where he served as CMO responsible for all company marketing strategy, program definition, product and brand strategy as well as Vice President, Operations responsible for support and training services, logistics and manufacturing. Potter has served in a variety of marketing roles at Westcon Group, Extreme Networks, Cisco and 3Com.
