An integrated marketing effort for Blue Ridge Orthopaedic & Spine Center is a finalist in the Consumer Marketing Campaign of the Year category, and a video for Verdun Adventure Bound is a Video of the Year category finalist.
In addition to the client-focused awards, McKinsey Development team members Therese Crowther and Crystal McKinsey are finalists for awards given to businesses with 10 or less employees. Crowther, the company’s operations manager, is a finalist for Employee of the Year honors, while McKinsey, the company’s founder and CEO, is a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run – worldwide. The Stevie Awards have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. Each category finalist earns either a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Stevie Award.
“Five years ago, I nominated my own business mentor, New York-based entrepreneur Pam Wolf, for a Stevie,” shares McKinsey Development Founder and CEO Crystal McKinsey, “She was honored with the International Stevie Award for Mentorship in 2008, underscoring the role she played in inspiring me to become a business owner.”
McKinsey founded her Warrenton, Virginia- based integrated marketing firm in 2009.
“Coming full circle to see McKinsey Development up for International Stevie Awards in several categories is incredibly exciting and rewarding,” McKinsey says. “I am most honored with the judges’ recognition of Therese, who has played an important role in helping make the company what it is today: an organization that puts its clients first, yet recognizes that life’s most important moments happen off the clock.”
Stevie finalists were chosen by more than 130 business professionals worldwide during preliminary judging. More than 90 members of the five final judging committees will determine the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award placements from among the Finalists during final judging.
“We’re very excited about this year’s finalists in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of the Stevie Awards. “The judges have told me that they think this is the best and most inspiring crop of nominees we’ve ever had. We look forward to seeing the judges’ final decisions.”
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word “crowned,” Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will be announced during a gala event at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on November 9. The presentations will be broadcast live across the U.S.A. by the Business TalkRadio Network, and videotaped for later posting on YouTube. Nominated women executives and entrepreneurs from the U.S.A. and several other countries are expected to attend. Details about the Stevie Awards for Women in Business and the list of Finalists in all categories are available at www.StevieAwards.com/Women.
The Stevie Awards finalist nominations are the second major award recognition McKinsey Development has earned this fall. A video advertising campaign produced for Old Town Athletic Club is a top-two finalist for Video Advertising Campaign of the Year in the National Communications Technology Platinum Awards. The winner will be announced on October 17.
“Our team works diligently to develop innovative, creative and engaging campaigns for our clients,” says McKinsey, “While it’s great to be recognized for accomplishments, I like to remind our team that great is only great in the moment it is great. After that, it simply becomes the new starting point.”
