Meningitis-linked firm told regulators its drugs were safe -FDA

WASHINGTON, Oct 11 (Reuters) - The New England Compounding Center, the pharmacy at the heart of a deadly meningitis outbreak, assured federal health officials that it was producing safe products, according to regulators, who said on Thursday that the firm appears to have violated its state licensing requirements.
