"I am honored to serve in this new capacity as ASA Chairman, and look forward to the opportunity to advocate on behalf of our members, our clients, and the millions of people we place and employ every day," said Livonius, a staffing veteran with more than 20 years in the industry.

The association is the voice of the U.S. staffing industry and the advocate for staffing and recruiting firms across the United States.

"We're delighted to welcome Bob into this important role," said Richard Wahlquist, ASA President and CEO. "Bob's years of service on our board coupled with his vast experience in the staffing industry will serve our members well. We look forward to a productive year."

In addition to maintaining the association's focus on strong and effective legal and legislative advocacy at the state and federal levels, Livonius also plans to focus his efforts on continuing to develop best practices for ASA members, growing its membership and expanding the group's data reach. "ASA has been known for years as the respected source of data that supports the use of temporary help," he said. "I would like to see us enhance the richness, breadth and depth of that data."
