SEATTLE, Dec. 7, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Publisher fishdog.net has released a new app based on the solitaire-in-a-circle card game Kings in the Corners. Like the popular solitaire game Klondike, players stack alternating colored cards in descending order, trying to empty their hand of cards.

This app has one human player competing against three game-controlled players. Play progresses around the table. On her turn, a player draws a card from the center draw pile, then stacks cards from her hand or from the table onto empty table positions or onto other stacks, keeping cards in red-white-red-white and descending order from 13 to 1.
Designed by prolific app developer Dave Peterson, and incorporating illustrations by artist Henk Dawson, the app has a gentle melody, swooping and pivoting cards, elegant controls, and built-in hints. This is the only kings app with illustrated instructions and high-contrast cards ideal for low vision or color blind players. Players play at their own pace with no time pressure, a fun activity while watching TV or sitting in a comfy chair.
Kings in the Corners is available at no cost in the iOS App Store or iTunes via this forwarding link: http://kingsinthecorners.com. A separate, no-ads version is available for $1 US. Both apps are Universal, running on iPad, iPad mini, iPhone and iPod touch with iOS version 4.3 or higher.
