NEW YORK, Dec. 7, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- StyleCaster - the social media company for fashion, beauty and lifestyle - has teamed up with LOOK/SEE, the newly launched brand that brings iconic street wear and pop culture stories to life, to create a limited edition line of eyewear based on StyleCaster's mission statement, "Style to the People."

Launched in time for StyleCaster's event to celebrate its latest editorial, "Miami's 20 Most Stylish" at Art Basel, the StyleCaster x LOOK/SEE collaboration boasts LOOK/SEE's signature L/S1 style with a Miami colorway and a design that's inspired by sneaker culture.

The StyleCaster x LOOK/SEE collaboration is the brainchild of innovators and old friends Ari S. Goldberg, Founder and CEO of StyleCaster, Inc. and Kyle Yamaguchi, Founder and CEO of LOOK/SEE. Yamaguchi met Goldberg when Yamaguchi worked as Product Line Manager, Developer, and Designer for Nike Basketball and Goldberg worked at LRMR Marketing. StyleCaster and L/S began discussion of a possible collaboration at the August 2012 PROJECT Showcase for independent designers.

Yamaguchi found inspiration for this design in his work with the 2012 Nike LeBron 9 Elite "Miami Vice" collection. The collection pays homage to the founders' initial collaboration and common love of sport and style.

"Kyle is a genius designer and one of the best guys I have ever met," says Ari S. Goldberg, Founder and CEO of StyleCaster. "The fact that we were able to reconnect after all these years and collaborate on a genuinely cool product that furthers the Style to the People mission has brought a whole new meaning to the entrepreneurial journey."

"Just like StyleCaster breaks down the doors of the fashion industry, LOOK/SEE creates a unique experience for the consumer by connecting iconic street wear and pop-culture stories to our collection of sunglasses," says Kyle Yamaguchi, CEO and founder of LOOK/SEE. "This collaboration is a tangible symbol of the sneaker culture that has inspired Ari and my style since we first started working together."

StyleCaster will introduce the limited edition Style to the People eyewear collection during Art Basel, and will continue to gift them to the StyleCaster community throughout the holiday season.
