Effective immediately, Nick Westley, a 26-year industry veteran, assumes the expanded responsibilities of Chief Executive – Americas, in addition to his recent appointment in October to President – Global Corporate Services (GCS). In his newly expanded role, Mr. Westley will oversee the expansion of DTZ's property services business lines throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. Mr. Westley is based at DTZ's global headquarters in Los Angeles and reports to Robert Shibuya, Group President of DTZ.
In another move, George Keches, a 20-year veteran of DTZ, has been named to the newly-created position of President – Global Facilities Management. In this role, Mr. Keches will report directly to Mr. Shibuya, and leverage his industry experience and expertise to implement global strategic solutions for occupier clients seeking to reduce their total cost of occupancy. Mr. Keches also retains his current role overseeing DTZ's Americas facilities management business, the largest business line for DTZ globally. He is based in Auburndale, MA.
Rounding out Mr. Westley's Americas team are Greg Schementi, Executive Vice President for US Occupier Services/Tenant Representation, based in Chicago, and Rob Cookson, Executive Vice President for Americas Global Corporate Services, based in Palo Alto, CA.
Mr. Schementi assumes oversight of all DTZ's transaction services nationally, including business planning, operations management, and US tenant representation services. Mr. Cookson is responsible for all integrated account-managed occupier requirements in the Americas, including cross-market and multi-service line sales and delivery. Both Mr. Schementi and Mr. Cookson are long-time DTZ executives, with successful track records in driving down real estate costs, improving workplace efficiency, and optimizing the real estate portfolios of corporations, government and public sector clients.
"DTZ's top priority is to continue building on our strong platform for client service in the Americas. Our dedicated new leadership team will be the catalyst for our further expansion throughout the region," noted Robert Shibuya, DTZ Group President. "The appointment of Nick Westley, Greg Schementi and Rob Cookson sets the stage for our current and long-term growth strategies for the Americas, and further strengthens our global operations," Mr. Shibuya added.
Of further note, DTZ's Canadian brokerage operations will continue to be led by Colin Ross, who was appointed President of the region in September.
