Bazaarvoice, Inc. Names Cedric Pech as General Manager of EMEA

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 30, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bazaarvoice, Inc. (Nasdaq:BV), a leading social and e-commerce software company, today announced that Cedric Pech has joined the company as General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Pech brings more than 16 years of Pan-European sales experience to the Bazaarvoice leadership team and will play a key role in expanding Bazaarvoice's presence across Europe and beyond. He joins Bazaarvoice from BMC Software, where he served as Vice President of Southern Europe and led the expansion of European sales channels for BMC Software's enterprise systems management software solutions. Prior to BMC Software, he held executive sales positions at BladeLogic, Parametric Technology and think3.

Pech succeeds Mark Riggs, who has spent nearly three years with Bazaarvoice and will return to the company's U.S. headquarters to assume the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships and Alliances. Riggs has 21 years of experience in consulting and technology and, prior to joining Bazaarvoice in 2010, was Senior Vice President and Worldwide Head of Customer Solutions at Endeca Technologies, where he helped create a global presence for the company. Before joining Endeca Technologies in 2006, Riggs spent more than five years at Business Objects, where he was Vice President of Global Services, first, for North America, and, then, for Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Riggs has also held leadership positions with Cambridge Technology Partners.
