Goodwin's Market was founded in 1946 when George C. Goodwin, Sr., along with his son-in-law Bill Fuller and son George Goodwin, Jr. opened a small general store in Crestline, Calif. In 1957 they built a new 8,000 sq. ft. market that continued to grow the family business. As a result of the company's success, strong family philosophy and the work of its many dedicated employees, Goodwin's was able to build a new 42,500 sq. ft. supermarket in 1985 at the store's current location. Today, Goodwin's Market IGA is managed by Mike Johnstone (the grandson of George Goodwin, Jr.) and the store continues to build on its legacy of service and success in the local community.
