NEW YORK, March 29, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gainey McKenna & Egleston announces that a class action lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of purchasers of Harvest Natural Resources Inc. ("Harvest" or the "Company") (NYSE:HNR) between May 7, 2010 and March 18, 2013, seeking remedies under the federal securities laws.

The Complaint alleges that Defendants issued false and misleading statements regarding the Company's financial performance and prospects.
