LAS VEGAS, April 8, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- NAB Booth #SL 12710
Archiware, the leader in simplified video storage, will give the first sneak peak of its upcoming new software P5, a multi-platform solution for Synchronize, Backup and Archive at the NAB Show in Las Vegas. P5 has been designed to provide a radically-simplified setup process, as well as support for LTFS (linear tape file systems) and the cloud.
"No one said it could be done but with P5, Archive and Backup of large data sets can be configured in minutes," said Josef Doods, CEO of Archiware. "There are also under-the-hood improvements that let the software grow with your needs, deliver more speed, and a smaller storage footprint for the file index."
With P5 Archive, administrators can move finished projects to the Archive, which avoids constant expansion of expensive production storage. Additionally, a new feature called 'incremental Archive,' allows P5 to automatically archive all new or changed files.
P5's Archive with its media previews, expandable metadata fields and improved search capabilities has the potential to help companies avoid the costs of more expensive media asset management systems for smaller and midsize productions. P5 Archive creates a "company memory" or master repository where everyone can search and browse all finished productions for reference or repurposing.
