IRVINE, Calif., April 16, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Continental Prison Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CPSZ), a payment processing technology company that specializes in the $500 billion government payment space, is pleased to announce that it has expanded its relationship with La Plata County in Colorado to now accept a wide variety of municipal payments. A third kiosk powered by the latest CPSI technology has now been installed to accommodate an anticipated increase in demand and is available in La Plata's Day Reporting Center.

"We are elated to expand our strong relationship with La Plata County jail as we continue to broaden the range of payments that we process and taking further strides into the much larger municipal payment market," stated Ronald Hodge, CEO, Continental Prison Systems. "This has been a strong and durable account for us and now we can increase our service to the public and the jail system by managing a much broader spectrum of municipal payments, again furthering Continental's long term vision to establish itself as the premier municipal payment processor."

"The Continental Prison Systems EZ Card kiosk in our Day Reporting Center is providing tremendous value to our office," stated La Plata County Captain Michael Slade. "The public can now make payments using a credit card and at times during the day they could not previously.
